Emergency Services are currently attending a serious crash, (car v van), near the intersection of state Highway 2 and Turner Road, North of Tauranga.

Diversions are in place using Wainui South Road and Esdaile Road. This diversion is not available to Heavy Transport vehicles. They should consider an alternative route.

The cause is yet to be determined. No further details can be released at this time."

Police's Serious Crash Unit will be working on Arawa Street, Rotorua tomorrow morning (12 January), mapping the scene where a woman was killed after a tree fell on her car on 5 January.
 
The road will be closed from 7am to allow the SCU to carry out this work.  
 
Diversions will be in place at the following intersections: Arawa St / Rangiuru St, Arawa St / Pukeroa St and Amohia St / Haupapa St.
 
We expect the road to be closed for three to four hours.

Diversions in place

Police is advising motorists that Saddle Road is blocked following a crash at 8:50am today.

A truck and a number of cars were involved, with one person sustaining moderate injuries .

While the road is being cleared, motorists are asked to avoid the area if possible or take the Pahiatua Track.

The power is out in New Plymouth CBD, which has put the traffic lights out of action.

Drivers are asked to show courtesy to each other and to be extra cautious at intersections.

Police have been advised that the power won’t be back up until 2pm.

Police are advising motorists that State Highway 63 is closed after a truck crash on Wairau Valley Road.

The road is closed between Renwick and Kawateri Junction. The road is likely to be closed for a couple of hours while the truck is removed.

Police were called to the crash at 12:30pm today after the truck crashed. The driver is not seriously injured.

SH63 closed after truck crash

A truck has rolled on Halcombe Road in Manawatu District. 

Police were notified of the crash at 5.35am.

Nobody has been injured but the road is expected to remain closed for several hours while the truck is removed.

Diversions are currently in place at the intersections of Halcombe Road/Mingaroa Road and Halcombe Road/Sherwill Street.

The best option for motorists in the area is to use State Highway 1 and State Highway 3.

Motorists are advised that part of Te Puna Station Road in the Bay of Plenty is closed due to flooding across the road.

Motorists are asked to avoid the Esmonde Road area near the Auckland Harbour Bridge due to flooding.

There is some surface flooding across the road from the Esmonde Road on-ramp southbound towards the bridge.
